Please take the time to read this document thoroughly. You will be asked to sign it, acknowledging your understanding both now and at the time of your project drop-off.
All custom fabrication work is billed at $150 per hour, plus the cost of materials, shop supplies, and applicable taxes, with a 1-hour minimum charge per task. Due to the highly variable nature of custom work, labor estimates are no longer provided. While I may occasionally give a general idea of the range, this is not a quote. You will be billed for the actual time the work requires. No two projects are alike, and each presents its own unique challenges.
My commitment to you is transparency and integrity. You will never be billed for non-billable time. For example, if I choose to redo a part because I feel it can be better, that time is not your responsibility. I maintain a detailed time clock, logging what was done and when. If you ever have a question about time billed, I’m happy to review it with you.
This is the only sustainable model for a professional, custom fabrication shop. I value open communication and will keep you informed of progress throughout your build.
If more than one person is involved in your project, please designate a single point of contact. I will communicate exclusively with this individual to ensure clarity and efficiency.
The final invoice will be issued to the person or business responsible for payment, unless it is a contracted business (e.g., restoration shop). I am not financially responsible for the expectations you have regarding your project’s cost.
The work I provide is highly specialized and tailored to clients who demand excellence over speed or low cost. I am not the least expensive option, and I do not aim to be. I aim to deliver the highest level of quality craftsmanship using the best materials available.
If you're used to hobbyist or garage-built pricing, please understand that our definitions of quality likely differ significantly. There are no “10-minute jobs” here—even a simple bracket is thoughtfully designed and fabricated.
This business exists to support my family and to bring high-caliber work to those who value it. Not everyone is the right fit for my services, and I’m perfectly comfortable with that.
If you're comparing the cost of custom, one-off fabrication to mass-manufactured components, please reconsider. They are not the same.
For example:
- A set of custom-fabricated V8 headers may require 30–50 hours of labor and $1,200–$1,300 in materials.
- A 3" dual exhaust system with an X-pipe, exiting at the rear, could take 30–40 hours.
All work is built and finished in-house, by hand, to my uncompromising standards. You will receive exceptional, lasting quality. I do it once, and I do it right.
If you bring me a running vehicle and request custom parts, labor involved in the removal of existing components is billable. This may include additional disassembly for access or addressing seized, rusted, or broken bolts. These are common and unavoidable variables in custom work.
If you are mechanically inclined, plan ahead to provide replacement gaskets, seals, and related parts as needed. I’ll communicate any concerns as they arise.
Additionally, if you provide parts already installed on the vehicle, they may limit or compromise the outcome of the work you’re requesting. I will work within those constraints, but if adjustments are needed mid-project, we’ll discuss the best path forward. Time spent adapting or reworking due to these limitations remains billable.
To secure your spot on the schedule, all materials must be paid for in full prior to scheduling a drop-off date. For larger projects, I may also require a labor deposit, determined at my discretion.
Billing will occur every 1–2 weeks, depending on the scope of your project.
Before work begins, we’ll develop a written plan outlining your “must-haves” and areas where you allow for creative discretion. This helps ensure alignment from the start.

I am here to create exceptional work, charge fairly, and treat my clients the way I wish to be treated. For years, I sacrificed personal needs to accommodate others—those days are behind me. I do this to support my family, generate a profit, and enjoy the craft I love. My work is both my business and my art.
If you’re here, I believe you appreciate that passion. Thank you for the opportunity—I look forward to building something great together.
Sincerely,
Nick Franco
